Managing Directors Colin and Sallie Verlaan have been in the horticulture business since 1978 and have been specialising in Palms and Cycads since 1984. The property is situated in New Plymouth, the Energy Centre of Taranaki with the west coast on one side and Mount Egmont/Taranaki in the centre of the region. Currently we grow over 80 varieties of palms and cycads in quantities ranging from 1000 to 100000 - making us the country's leading palm supplier.
Average temperatures here in New Plymouth are 17.5 and 9.7 degrees celcius in summer and winter respectively. The highest recorded temperature is 30.3 degrees celcius, and the lowest -2.4 degrees. Seed is germinated at higher temperatures and product is grown in temperate to subtropical climate.
We cater for the ever changing demand of the New Zealand internal market.
